In many cases, Republic Dental can repair a small to medium sized filling by applying a basic filling. While fillings are meant to restore the full function of the tooth for a long time to come, it is not uncommon to have them fail over the long course of time.
Sometimes you can notice a filling is in trouble, from sensitivity issues, pain or a change in color or texture. Other times, a filling can go missing and you won’t even know when it happened.

Without timely repair, the exposed tooth enamel could fracture or continue to decay, leading to even more serious complications. Sometimes a small missing can be repaired by simply removing a small amount of additional enamel and cementing a new filling in place.
If you are missing a large filling, or the decay has simply compromised too much enamel to secure a new filling, then Republic Dental might recommend that the tooth be fitted for a crown.
